aw, just been catching up on your comings and goings and have been reduced to a grinning idiot once again with a warm glow inside after digesting your words and pictures.
sigh.
we’re just back from 2 weeks in Thailand which makes reading your stuff all the more special having had at least a small glimpse/experience of that side of the world where you are. i must admit it took me a good few days to settle and ‘get it’ (especially after the frist 48 hrs in Bangkok which i HATED). but cut to 2 weeks later and me literally sobbing behind my fake raybans as our cab pulled away from our little retreat in Ao Nang on the way back to the airport. how the hell are you guys going to be able to come back??
anyhoo, having been back a week, Gary and I are BOTH now jobless: i got given the boot but with a very nice ‘compromise agreement’ payoff so it’s actually all very positive. Gary’s not passing of his probation not quite so easy to swallow. but if anything it’s making us even more determined. resisting the temptation to blow the cash on a flight back to Thailand, i’m trying to kick start the floristry again. or we might go run a pub in Oxford? who knows. the world is our oytser.
so, exciting times. hope you guys are having a ball. i’m just off to walk the dog around Wandsworth Common and catch up with a friend down your old neck of the woods.
